Job summary

Synpulse is building its Middle East delivery team around Islamic banking and wealth management transformations. We are looking for a Business Analyst who knows how an Islamic bank works, from product structuring to Sharia governance and related operational and accounting treatment.

You will join the Dubai office and work across engagements in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, alongside Avaloq and digital banking practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in business analysis roles within Islamic banking or related advisory
• Working knowledge of AAOIFI accounting and Sharia standards and GCC regulator frameworks
• Hands-on experience on core banking or wealth platform implementations (Avaloq, Temenos T24, Transact, iMAL, Oracle FLEXCUBE or Finacle)
• Strong documentation discipline for requirements and test cases
• Comfortable with SQL for validation, data mapping, and reconciliation
• Track record of leading functional streams through UAT and go-live, with direct client stakeholder management
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage; willingness to travel within GCC

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement workshops with business, Sharia, risk, finance and operations stakeholders and document outcomes as specifications and user stories
• Translate Islamic product structures into system configuration and data requirements (profit calculation, pool management, purification)
• Map end-to-end client lifecycle for Islamic private banking and asset management (onboarding, suitability, advisory, portfolio management, subscriptions, redemptions, Zakat, reporting)
• Own the functional side of implementation phases: analysis, design, build support, system integration testing, UAT, data migration validation and training
• Produce artefacts: gap analyses, traceability matrices, test scenarios, migration sheets, user guides, sign-off packs
• Coordinate with Sharia boards and internal audit to ensure designs stay within AAOIFI standards
• Support proposals and client presentations with product knowledge and effort estimates
• At Senior Consultant level, run a workstream, coach junior analysts, maintain client relationships
• Be part of Synpulse’s Middle East growth with visibility to clients and partners from day one
