Job summary

Taaheed is seeking a Head of Islamic Finance to lead the end-to-end development of Islamic assets and liability products across Corporate, SME, and Retail Banking segments. The role reports to the Head of SME & IB and focuses on strategy, product launches, and cross-functional execution.

The incumbent will bring 10+ years in product management, with ideally 5 years in an Islamic institution, and will have a strong grasp of Islamic financing structures and profitability drivers in the UAE/MENA

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, with Islamic banking exposure.
• Knowledge of profitability drivers and market development in Islamic banking.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, launch and manage Islamic assets and liabilities for Corporate, SME & Retail Banking.
• Develop and implement marketing policies and strategies to meet objectives.
• Evaluate market conditions and competitor data to inform marketing plans and projects.
• Oversee marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
• Develop 1–2 year strategy and sales plan for product development.
• Lead and develop the team.

Leading Banking organisation seeks Head of Islamic Finance to undertake a new position within the SME & Islamic Banking division. Reporting directly to the Head of SME & IB, you Will undertake complete responsibility for:

• Developing, launching and managing the entire Islamic assets and liability products for all Corporate, SME & Retail Banking segments
• Developing and implementing marketing policies and strategies to meet organisational objectives
• Evaluating market conditions, competitor data and implementing marketing plans and projects (new and existing)
• Overseeing and executing marketing, advertising and promotional activities
• Actively developing a 1-2 year strategy and sales plan for product development
• Team management

The incumbent will currently be working within a reputable banking organisation in UAE or broader MENA region with a minimum of 10 years extensive experience in Product Management, with ideally 5 years in an Islamic institution

• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Finance or Commerce
• Shari’a certified
• Proven ability to manage and understand risk
• Experience of developing products and marketing plans for Islamic Banking products and/or segments
• Strong understanding of profitability drivers and market development across the various life cycle stages
• Extensive knowledge of Islamic Financing structures adopted by Corporate, SME & Retail Banking
• Fluent English. Arabic a definite advantage
