Job summary

Denara Group in Dubai seeks a Chief Investment Officer to lead the investment function, directing strategy, portfolio construction, and client reporting within the DFSA Category 3C framework.

The CIO will chair the Investment Committee, define risk-aligned policies, and oversee a team of portfolio managers and analysts to manage discretionary assets for Retail and Professional clients. Strong regulatory acumen is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in investment management with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record managing portfolios within a regulated financial services environment and experience with retail clients.
• Prior experience operating under DFSA or comparable regulator (FCA, FSRA, CMA, SEC) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advantageous; CFA/CAIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the firm's investment strategy across managed assets, aligned with client mandates and risk appetite.
• Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, rebalancing and performance across discretionary mandates.
• Chair or serve on the Investment Committee; approve investment decisions above defined thresholds.
• Own investment reporting and communication to clients, ensuring correct classification of client types.
• Build and manage the investment team, including portfolio managers and analysts; set policies and controls.
