Job summary

The UAE Family Office seeks an Investment Director to join its investment team, responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing opportunities across media, consumer and technology sectors with portfolio exposure to sports and related areas.

You will lead the full investment lifecycle, develop theses, oversee due diligence and valuation, and present recommendations to leadership and the Investment Committee, coordinating with advisers and portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable track record of executing investments across multiple sectors
• Strong exposure to Media/Entertainment, Consumer and/or Technology investments
• Exposure to Sports investments is advantageous
• Experience assessing both established businesses and growth-stage opportunities
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring and due-diligence capabilities
• Experience taking transactions from initial opportunity through to completion
• Ability to evaluate opportunities where brand, audience, IP or strategic value matter alongside traditional metrics
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, founders and investment committees
• International investment exposure, ideally including the Middle East, Europe, US or other major markets

Responsibilities

• Originate and evaluate new investment opportunities across media, consumer, technology, sports and adjacent sectors
• Lead the full investment lifecycle from initial screening and commercial assessment through to due diligence, valuation, structuring and execution
• Develop detailed investment theses and present recommendations to the Investment Committee and Family Office leadership
• Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, market assessment and scenario analysis
• Coordinate financial, commercial, legal and operational due diligence
• Negotiate transaction structures and key commercial terms alongside internal and external advisers
• Assess both financial returns and strategic value when considering investment opportunities
• Monitor existing portfolio companies and provide strategic support to management teams
• Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, acquisitions and eventual exits across the portfolio
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, advisers, investment banks, funds and other investors
• Maintain a strong understanding of emerging investment themes and changing consumer and technology trends
