Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Abu Dhabi is seeking an energetic Internal Audit professional to support the Principal Auditor on defined assignments. You will help conduct risk-based audits, test internal controls, and document findings following EGA's audit methodology.

The role requires 3–6 years in internal audit within a large manufacturing setting, a degree in finance/accounting or engineering, and progress toward a professional qualification such as CPA/CIMA/CMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, with progress towards a professional qualification from a recognised international accounting institute (e.g., CPA, CIMA, CMA, or CA).
• Audit-related professional qualification such as CIA or CISA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting and delivering internal audit services for a specific assignment.
• Carry out parts of the overall audit under guidance of Manager IA ensuring professional standards are met.
• Implement approved departmental policies processes and procedures in accordance with IIA professional standards.
• Implement day-to-day operations assigned for the Internal Audit function following EGA audit methodology.
• Participate in risk assessments for the assigned area of responsibility.
• Participate in determining audit approach including risk analysis and process mapping.
• Conduct testing of internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
• Assess the adequacy of internal controls.
• Prepare work papers to ensure audit objectives and quality standards are met and maintain audit files.
• Assist in developing recommendations to mitigate remediate observations and ensure clear implementation deadlines.
• Inform Senior Manager IA Principal Auditor timely regarding critical issues.
• Carry out periodic follow-up of recommendations and report on implementation status.
• Prepare draft observations for review by the audit team leader.
• Participate in ad-hoc reviews based on management requests and or fraud investigations.
• Comply with all relevant safety quality and environmental management policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with line management of the assigned area
