Job summary

Emirates Investment Authority seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional to strengthen and lead the organization’s internal audit function. You will develop multiyear and annual audit plans, lead audits across all functions, and supervise both internal and co-sourced auditors, ensuring adherence to IPPF and the EIA Manual.

You will review controls, coordinate with management on audit scope, and mentor UAE nationals while delivering clear, actionable recommendations to improve risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Certifications CPA/CIA/ACCA preferred; pursuing certifications advantageous.
• 4–6 years in internal audit or risk management.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.
• Familiarity with IAS/IFRS and IPPF standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of EIA's operations to implement internal audit practices.
• Support the Chief Internal Auditor in creating multiyear and annual Audit Plans.
• Lead and conduct regular and ad hoc audits across all EIA functions.
• Plan and oversee individual audit assignments with audit programs and memos.
• Coordinate audit activities with managers on schedules and scope.
• Foster strong business relationships to ensure audit recommendations are implemented.
• Perform detailed audits identifying risk, control gaps, and fraud red flags.
• Review internal controls and processes to mitigate risks and protect assets.
• Stay current with industry trends and global IPPF standards.
• Supervise internal and external (co-sourced) auditors.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
• Report on audit progress including scope and results.
• Support audit activities related to portfolio companies.
• Ensure compliance with IPPF and EIA Internal Audit Manual.
• Perform follow-up audits on agreed actions.
• Contribute to Audit Committee materials.
• Mentor UAE nationals in internal audit practices.
