Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced analytical skills.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are essential to demonstrate expertise in auditing standards and practices.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive internal audit experience, with a strong background in risk management and compliance.
• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing) to bring relevant insights and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review the Internal Audit Office's operational plan including completing relevant work templates, reviewing and updating performance indicators and project completion rates.
• Carry out internal audit and financial control procedures within the Department in accordance with the operational plan or audit requests from the line manager.
• Analyse potential financial, legal, procedural and reputational risks by preparing risk registers and conducting business impact analyses.
• Prepare accurate, clear and comprehensive audit reports and forms documenting findings for organisational units and maintain them in designated digital files.
