Job summary

Emirates Investment Authority is recruiting an Internal Auditor to strengthen the Audit department. The role requires understanding of risk management, control and governance processes, with emphasis on planning, execution, and reporting of audits across all functions including investments.

The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate up to 4 years of relevant experience with knowledge of IAS/IFRS and IPPF standards, and an ability to develop recommendations to mitigate identified risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• Studies towards relevant professional certificates are require.
• Fresh graduate up to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in financial services an advantage.
• Knowledge of the IAS/IFRS, understanding of audit reporting, compliance and financial interpretations.
• Knowledge of the (IIA) Standards for International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) or equivalent audit standard.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of the EIA business and processes and how to apply effective internal audit approaches.
• Under guidance contribute in regular and ad hoc audits across all functions including investments.
• Assist with planning of individual audit assignments per the audit manual.
• Communicate with managers to coordinate schedules and scope of audit.
• Undertake audits of processes and records to identify deficiencies in risk management, controls, or compliance.
• Review internal controls and business processes to identify risks and protect assets.
• Prepare draft audit findings and report to superiors for discussion and review.
• Document audit findings and discuss observations and recommendations with management.
• Report regularly on audit status, scope and findings to the Chief Internal Auditor/ IA Manager.
• Support audit activities related to portfolio companies as needed.
• Ensure audit work follows IPPF standards and internal audit manual.
• Assist with departmental administration and follow-up audits.
