Job summary

Agapi Club in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to join a multinational financial services organization. The role will conduct internal audits, evaluate financial and operational controls, identify risks and irregularities, and support forensic reviews when required.

You will plan and execute audits across functions, review processes and documentation, assess governance and risk management, and prepare clear reports with findings and practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of internal audit, external audit, risk advisory, forensic audit, or financial controls with Big 4 background.
• Hands-on exposure to forensic audit, fraud investigation, or financial irregularity investigations is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, audit methodologies, fraud risks, and risk management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience conducting end-to-end audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and remediation follow-up.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP systems, data analytics, or forensic tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits across functions.
• Review financial processes, records, transactions, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Identify control weaknesses, financial risks, unusual transactions, and potential misconduct.
• Support forensic audits and investigations involving suspected fraud and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, structured audit reports with findings, risk implications and recommendations.
• Discuss findings with stakeholders and management; agree on remediation actions.
• Track remediation plans and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
