SharpMinds Consulting Engineers LLC is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead the design process from concept through completion. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces while mentoring junior designers.

You will ensure design integrity, adherence to codes, and on-time, on-budget project delivery on large-scale projects within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design capabilities.
• Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Rendering Software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience working on large-scale projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complex design challenges and deliver successful outcomes on time and within budget.

Responsabilités

• Guide the interior design process from pre-concept through completion, aligning with client goals and timelines.
• Develop and present design concepts and solutions, including mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings.
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D models to illustrate ideas and ensure space efficiency and compliance.
• Incorporate client and team feedback into revisions while maintaining project standards.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction and installation.
• Implement quality control to ensure design elements meet high standards.
• Choose materials, finishes, furnishings, and color palettes meeting aesthetics, function, and budget.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate interiors with building systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations while maintaining design integrity.
• Build and maintain client relationships, understand vision and requirements.
• Conduct client presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for successful delivery.
• Mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative, creative environment.

• Develop and present design concepts and solutions that address client vision and requirements, including mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings.
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D models to illustrate design ideas, ensuring efficient use of space and adherence to building codes and regulations.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and team members into design revisions, ensuring that all changes align with the project’s goals and standards.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction and installation, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all design elements are executed to the highest standards.
• Choose appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and colour palettes, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate interior designs with overall building designs and systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards while maintain design integrity and uphold quality standards throughout the project.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision, preferences, and requirements.
• Conduct client presentations, effectively communicating design ideas and concepts.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to enhance their skills and professional growth.
• Encourage a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovation and excellence in design
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design implementation aligns with approved plans.
• Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies and participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance professional development and network with peers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale projects, healthcare, residential, and commercial design projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials.
• Ability to network and build relationships within the industry.

Work Environment:

The Senior Interior Designer shall work in the head office; but may be required to visit project sites. The role involves collaboration with various departments and external partners, requiring effective communication and teamwork skills.
