Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the review and design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Control Systems, and Communications systems equipment and infrastructure for roads, urban areas, and expressways projects in accordance with international and local standards, specifications, and procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Review and design Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Systems, Traffic Control Systems for signalized junctions, and Communications systems in compliance with Abu Dhabi mobility ITS Standards.
2. Complete a wide variety of complex engineering assignments, applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses within the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) discipline.
3. Perform complex engineering tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
4. Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
5. Provide ITS advice and guidance for various road and highway infrastructure projects.
6. Conduct studies for the implementation and operation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications.
7. Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to ensure project success.
8. Perform BIM and Clash Analysis of Civil 3D designs.
9. Fulfill all responsibilities and duties associated with the position as required.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer, or Electronics Engineering. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
2. Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.
3. Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in the design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Communications systems, and CCTV systems.
4. Proven experience in the design and operation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) systems and infrastructure.
5. Experience in the design of Urban Traffic Control Systems (TCS).
6. In-depth knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), TCS, and CCTV design standards and procedures.
7. Experience in the operation and maintenance requirements of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure.
8. Proficiency with electronics and telecommunications systems as related to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), TCS, and CCTV.
9. Knowledge of computer software applications related to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and CCTV.
10. Prior experience with consultants or contractors in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field is preferred.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
12. Strong presentation skills.
