Responsibilities
- Manage large construction projects and lead the team in developing go-to-market strategies.
- Understand clients' strategic priorities, offering advice on risk strategies, insurance, and contractual matters.
- Assess client exposures and recommend solutions for risk management needs.
- Develop and oversee renewal and placement strategies across multiple zones.
- Present innovative solutions to clients and collaborate with teams to attract new projects and clients.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and oversee placement execution.
Business Development
- Drive revenue growth by maintaining a sales funnel and nurturing relationships across the IMEA region.
- Identify prospective clients and maintain a robust pipeline.
- Prepare reports, respond to tenders, and participate in client presentations.
- Engage with country leaders and business development teams to capitalize on regional opportunities.
- Organize and participate in thought leadership events to promote Marsh's expertise.
Broking and Placement
- Collect client exposure information, draft placement documents, and coordinate with underwriters.
- Present terms to clients, guide placement decisions, and negotiate with insurers and reinsurers.
- Ensure timely completion of placement and deliverables.
General Leadership
- Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of construction professionals.
- Represent the practice at industry events and maintain compliant business practices.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
- 15+ years of experience in a senior client-facing role within construction/engineering advisory industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, insurance, and risk management.
- Proven client engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, focusing on long-term client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for complex discussions.
- Organized, detail-oriented, with problem-solving skills.
- Proactive team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic skills are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in construction insurance with leadership roles.
- Knowledge of regional markets and regulations; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally.
