Job summary
Penspen in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Telecom Engineer to oversee FEED, EPC, commissioning and startup phases for major oil and gas projects. The role focuses on instrumentation, control, and telecom systems within a PMC environment, ensuring compliance with client specs and international standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive gas processing facility experience, strong contractor management skills, and a track record in both brownfield and greenfield projects,
Qualifications
- 17+ years of Oil & Gas experience in Instrumentation, Control and Telecom.
- Minimum 5 years of PMC / Client / Operator experience.
- Strong experience in EPC project execution and EPC Contractor management.
- ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in Brownfield and Greenfield projects is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Review EPC Contractor Instrumentation, Control and Telecom engineering deliverables.
- Review Instrument Index, Datasheets, I/O Lists, P&IDs, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect, Loop Diagrams and Instrument Specifications.
- Review DCS, ESD/SIS, PLC, F&G and ICSS systems.
- Review Telecom systems including PAGA, CCTV, Fiber Optic, Radio Communication, Access Control and Telecom Networks.
- Review vendor documents, technical bids, TQs, deviations and engineering deliverables.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL/LOPA and Functional Safety reviews.
- Coordinate with EPC Contractor, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Monitor engineering interfaces between Instrumentation, Telecom, Electrical, Process, Mechanical and Package systems.
- Support FAT/SAT, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities.
- Ensure EPC deliverables comply with ADNOC specifications, approved project philosophies, codes and international standards.
