Job Description - Senior Instrumentation Engineer (ABU01WE):

Key Accountabilities of the Position :

  1. Maintain a strong client-facing profile.
  2. Demonstrate strong team management and leadership skills.
  3. Ensure technical competence of instrument engineering personnel.
  4. Forecast and allocate instrument engineering resources.
  5. Ensure instrument design integrity and maintain standards.
  6. Identify software necessary for effective instrument group functioning.
  7. Prepare instrument man-hour estimates for project tasks.
  8. Ensure compliance with QA, safety, and environmental goals.
  9. Manage instrument design and changes within budget and schedule.
  10. Evaluate new technologies against existing standards and update as needed.
  11. Promote cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
  12. Encourage career development within the team.
  13. Identify applicable new technology developments for cost-effective facilities.
  14. Supervise project instrument designers and draftsmen.
  15. Prepare weekly progress and expenditure reports.
  16. Benchmark and improve instrument design and drafting processes.
  17. Ensure quality assurance and safety practices are followed.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or a related discipline.
  2. Significant experience in instrument engineering, preferably in major oil & gas projects.
