Job summary

AECOM is leading an Instrumentation & Automation engineering role for a Sewage Treatment Plant project in the UAE. The candidate will supervise all field instruments, SCADA, PLC, and HMI activities, review drawings and submittals, and coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process teams to deliver a compliant, fully integrated automation system.

The role requires extensive experience in process instrumentation, FAT/SAT, and adherence to Dubai Municipality standards and international

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, electronics, electrical or control systems engineering.
10-15 years of overall experience in instrumentation, control, automation, and SCADA systems.
5+ years in STP/WWTP or similar utility projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise instrumentation, control, automation, and SCADA works for the STP project.
Review IFC drawings, control philosophies, and instrument datasheets.
Supervise installation and termination of instrument cables and panels.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and MEP teams.
Witness FAT/SAT and ensure compliance with standards.
Monitor PLC/SCADA programming, graphics, alarms, and trends.
Ensure calibration of process instruments and proper testing.
Prepare technical submissions and QA documentation.
