Job summary

Penspen is seeking a PMC Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support major Oil & Gas development projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will review and oversee instrumentation & control engineering activities across FEED, EPC, commissioning and operations, ensuring compliance with client specifications and international standards.

Ideal candidates will have extensive gas processing, DCS/SCADA/PLC experience, strong functional safety knowledge and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve FEED and EPC Instrumentation deliverables.
• Review Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Control Narratives, Cause & Effect diagrams and Control Philosophies.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA and Functional Safety reviews.
• Review DCS, ESD, PLC, F&G, SCADA and Telecom system engineering packages.
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and vendor document reviews.
• Support package integration activities for compressors, turbines, metering and packaged equipment.
• Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support commissioning, pre-commissioning, startup and performance testing activities.
• Review brownfield modifications and site engineering solutions.
• Experience working in ADNOC Projects.

Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking an experienced PMC Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support major Oil & Gas development projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing Instrumentation & Control engineering activities during FEED, EPC, commissioning, and operational phases while ensuring compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and international standards.

The role requires extensive experience in gas processing facilities, control systems, functional safety, and multidisciplinary project execution within a PMC environment.

Minimum Requirements Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 17 years of Instrumentation & Control Engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects.


• Minimum 5 years in PMC or Operator organization.


• Experience supporting FEED, EPC, commissioning, startup, and operational facilities.


• ADNOC project experience highly preferred.


• Experience in Gas Processing, Sour Gas, LNG.
