Key Objectives
- Design and specify instrumentation systems for monitoring and control
- Ensure smooth integration with other engineering disciplines
- Provide technical guidance during design, installation, and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Lead all Instrument and Controls System design and ensure compliance with standards and policies
- Define plant controls architecture
- Coordinate with the I&C team and report to project management
- Support planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities
- Manage discipline work schedules and manpower
- Oversee progress and quality, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Participate in project meetings and generate status reports
- Maintain team competency and assess third-party qualifications
- Engage with vendors, licensors, and OEMs to meet project scope
- Prepare tender evaluations and review vendor documents
- Contribute to EPC scope and tender packages
- Coordinate with other disciplines during all project phases
- Support site activities like material inspections and FAT
- Manage change processes and technical queries
- Participate in safety and design reviews
- Ensure quality and schedule adherence
- Liaise with client operations and maintenance teams
- Identify and manage risks
- Promote safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
- Capture and share lessons learned
Qualifications & Skills
We welcome all talented individuals even if you do not meet every requirement but have relevant experience and skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics, with 15+ years of experience in offshore/onshore Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in GCC
- Experience managing teams on large Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- Experience in FEED, detailed design, and EPC projects
- Mandatory brownfield offshore/onshore experience
- UK project experience preferred
- Knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G, and SCADA systems
- Participation in P&ID, HAZOP, SIL reviews
- Middle East experience advantageous
