Job summary

Anix Global is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead enterprise Linux, virtualization, and container platforms. The role focuses on VMware vSphere/ESXi, on-prem Kubernetes, storage, and automation in a secure, scalable data center environment.

You will work with Ansible/Terraform for automation, Splunk for observability, and engage in multi-tier troubleshooting across systems. Prior exposure to GPU AI workloads and advanced security practices is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and administration.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration across major distros.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise infrastructure.
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi environments and storage.
• Manage on-prem Kubernetes deployments and related tooling.
• Implement security hardening and IAM across infrastructure.

Job description

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Linux, VMware, Kubernetes, networking, storage, automation, and enterprise infrastructure.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Expert hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, OEL, SLES, Ubuntu) – installation, configuration, hardening & troubleshooting
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi 9.x, VCF & vSAN, including lifecycle management and upgrades
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX and strong LAN/WAN/Data Centre networking knowledge
• Production experience with on-premises Kubernetes; SUSE Rancher (RKE2) is preferred
• Enterprise storage experience with HPE, Dell & Pure Storage and FC SAN fabrics
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform and API-driven automation
• Experience with Splunk and infrastructure monitoring/observability tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex multi-tier applications on Linux
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and self-hosted LLM/AI workloads is a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of security hardening, vulnerability management, IAM, segmentation & incident handling
• Knowledge of Oracle/PostgreSQL and SQL is an added advantage
