Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Distribution, Industry and Power Generation Product Line Leader, the Senior Industrial Portfolio Manager will be a key member of the Grid Automation team. The role involves aligning the industrial segment needs with product and solution roadmaps, working closely with all Grid Automation Product Managers to ensure a harmonized portfolio. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, developing customer value propositions, and defining strategic directions to maintain a competitive portfolio. This position requires strong leadership and market analysis skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify emerging needs within industrial segments.
- Collaborate with customers to define technical solution requirements, controls, communication architecture, and project scope for proposals or product development.
- Work with Grid Automation Product Managers to align needs with product roadmaps, creating a comprehensive portfolio.
- Develop customer value propositions and commercial strategies for the industrial market.
- Coordinate with R&D and product development teams to align efforts with market needs.
- Create and maintain commercial documentation ensuring consistency across the portfolio.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback for validating and refining products.
- Monitor industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Work with internal teams to align on product priorities and milestones.
- Report on portfolio performance, market trends, and customer needs to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in the industrial segment, focusing on portfolio or product management.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder coordination.
- Solid knowledge of industrial automation, grid automation products, and energy management systems.
- Experience in market data analysis and customer-focused value proposition development.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
