Job summary

Deel is seeking an experienced Global Mobility Specialist to manage relocation, immigration operations, and mobility for our international workforce in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

You will partner with HR, Legal, and Tax to ensure compliant, smooth assignments across multiple regions, focusing on UAE and other duty stations, while continuously improving processes and knowledge base. English fluency is essential, and cloud-based case management is used daily.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in global mobility, UAE immigration focus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong knowledge of global relocation, immigration, and tax compliance.
  • Experience working with HR, Legal, Tax, Finance to manage mobility processes.
  • Experience with work/residence permits, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Familiarity with global mobility tools and vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage immigration cases from start to finish with in-house or vendor support.
  • Update cases in the management system and meet SLAs/KPIs.
  • Be a point of contact for escalations within the immigration team.
  • Provide expert advice on immigration laws within EMEA.
  • Offer consultations on routes for immigration/work authorisation.
  • Maintain high-quality client service and proactive case management.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting assignments.
  • Audit immigration documents for compliance and renewals.
  • Drive process improvements in mobility operations.

Summary

This role will manage the relocation, immigration operations, and mobility needs of Deel’s global workforce. You’ll work closely with HR, legal, and tax teams to ensure that employees on international assignments or relocations receive seamless support while staying compliant with local regulations. This role will help Deel expand its global talent pool and facilitate the movement of employees across multiple regions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage immigration cases from start to finish either in-house or through a third party provider with the majority of those being more complex.
  • Ensure cases are accurately updated on a case management system and actioned in a timely manner in accordance with set SLAs/KPIs.
  • Be a point of contact for low to medium level issues/escalations for other team members within the immigration team.
  • Conduct regular case reviews for junior team members and provide feedback on their case management.
  • Give expert advice on immigration laws within EMEA countries ensuring client’s compliance with current regulations.
  • Provide consultations (via email or call) to clients clearly outlining applicable immigration/work authorisation routes.
  • Deliver outstanding client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management.
  • Stay up to date with changes in immigration law and policies in assigned countries, proactively communicating any potential risks/changes that may impact clients/employees.
  • Assess right‑to‑work requirements for Employee of Records (EORs) and other types of permits.
  • Liaise with internal teams for corporate document gathering and work closely with other internal departments to ensure efficient case management.
  • Show strong understanding of country specific immigration processes, compliance requirements and act as a subject matter expert for assigned countries/regions.
  • Have immigration documents correctly updated, tracked and audited to ensure compliance and timely initiation of renewals.
  • Support in auditing and maintaining internal knowledge base on immigration requirements to ensure its accuracy.
  • Work on immigration/process improvement projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in global mobility, in particular with UAE immigration process
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong knowledge of global relocation, immigration, and tax compliance.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Tax, Finance) to manage mobility processes.
  • Have experience in various types of processes, including but not limited to work and residence permits, notifications, permit cancellations, renewals.
  • Familiarity with global mobility tools and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
  • Detail‑oriented and proactive in managing complex mobility cases.
  • Experience with policy development and process optimization.
  • Ability to stay current on international tax and immigration laws and adapt to regulatory changes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., GMS) are a plus.
