Job summary

Anotech in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Commissioning Electrical Specialist to lead the electrical commissioning activities across the project scope. You will interface with EPSCC teams and supervise on-site execution, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely handover of electrical systems above 20kV.

Responsibilities include validating procedures, planning FATs, performing risk assessments, and coordinating with Field Operations to ensure knowledge transfer and seamless system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years in Oil & Gas projects as Commissioning Electrical Specialist.
• Experience with major Electrical vendors (Schneider, ABB, Siemens).
• Experience being Commissioning Electrical Authority is a plus.
• Certified to fully deal with both HV and LV Electrical Networks.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate electrical commissioning procedures, check sheets, and test plans per OPERCOM.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors to plan FATs, tests and system integration.
• Participate in risk assessments and embed electrical requirements in commissioning plans.
• Define system boundaries and interface logic between electrical components.
• Ensure readiness of temporary equipment and tools for electrical commissioning.
• Engage Field Operations early to align activities and transfer knowledge.
• Supervise on-site commissioning, ensuring HSE, specs, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate energization and functional testing of electrical systems with vendors.
• Prepare on-site electrical isolations/de-isolations for COF above 20kV as Isolation Authority.
• Ensure risk assessments are prepared and implemented on site.
• Ensure safe energization from temporary and permanent power sources.
• Coordinate operational tests with contractor involving Field Ops and Maintenance.
• Monitor progress, clear punch lists, and update ICAPS documentation.
• Support Completion Coordinator in RFC, AOC/RFSU, TOM milestones.
• Attend daily coordination meetings and align with commissioning teams.
• Capture and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.
