AtkinsRéalis in Dubai seeks an experienced HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental aspects of a major project. You will inspect sites, address non-conformances, develop emergency plans, and lead HSE training and audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and client requirements.

You are expected to have 10+ years in HSE roles, a relevant degree, mandatory HSE certifications, and strong communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors and management, with travel to

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an HSE Officer or similar on large-scale construction projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field.
• Mandatory professional certifications in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA); CHMM/CSP/ARM preferred.
• Deep knowledge of local HSE regulations and ISO 45001/ISO 14001 standards.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse teams.
• Ability to implement and manage HSE management systems; drive improvements.
• Willingness to travel to project sites; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections of work areas, offices, and equipment.
• Identify non-conformances and address corrective actions.
• Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans.
• Conduct monthly HSE self-audits and prepare internal reports.
• Produce HSE reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Identify training needs and conduct HSE trainings and TBTs.
• Lead Joint HSE Committee meetings and on-site inspections.
• Investigate incidents and follow up on corrective actions.
