Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering seeks an HSE Project Manager to lead the health, safety, and environmental management across UAE construction projects. You will drive HSE strategies, manage site teams, and ensure client, regulatory, and international best-practice compliance.

You will conduct risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and weekly safety reporting, while promoting a strong safety culture on all active sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant HSE experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the UAE construction market is mandatory.
• Experience in hospitality and tourism construction projects is preferred.
• OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification is mandatory.
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification is an advantage.
• IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure that HSE policy is followed and applied on project sites to minimize hazards and risks.
• Increase the HSE team's awareness of health, environment, and equipment safety on site.
• Monitor site activities via method statements to identify hazards and prevent incidents.
• Manage firefighting process plan and communicate emergency exits, assembly points, and extinguishers.
• Inform electricity team of hazards and precautions to avoid incidents.
• Attend daily progress meetings to coordinate safety precautions for each activity.
• Issue permits-to-work to authorize high-risk tasks according to safety procedures.
• Attend weekly progress meetings to review HSE activity progress and plan upcoming work.
• Liaise with HSE team to address concerns and resolve on-site issues.
• Prepare weekly and monthly statistics reports for HSE management.
• Prepare self-assessment reports to measure site safety performance.
