Senior HSE Officer: TBM & Tunneling Projects

Job summary

TalentOne is seeking an experienced HSE Officer with proven exposure to TBM operations, tunneling and underground construction projects in the UAE.

You will implement and monitor HSE requirements across TBM and tunneling activities, conduct site inspections and toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with RAMS, JSA/JHA, PTW, LOTO and confined-space procedures while coordinating with multiple construction teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering, Safety or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience.
• Proven experience in TBM, tunneling or underground construction projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of confined-space safety, underground hazards, emergency response and heavy construction activities.
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE requirements across TBM and tunneling activities.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, inductions and safety observations.
• Monitor high-risk activities including TBM operations, shaft works, confined spaces, lifting, excavation, segment installation and underground logistics.
• Review and ensure compliance with RAMS, JSA/JHA, PTW, LOTO and confined-space procedures.
• Monitor tunnel ventilation, gas detection, fire prevention, emergency access/egress and rescue arrangements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Coordinate closely with construction, TBM, lifting and engineering teams.
• Maintain HSE reports, inspection records and statutory documentation.
