Job summary

TALENT ONE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES is hiring an experienced HSE Officer for a rail project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring HSE requirements across TBM and tunneling activities, with emphasis on RAMS, JSA/JHA, PTW and LOTO procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering, Safety or related field, NEBOSH IGC, and at least 5 years of HSE experience in TBM/tunneling/underground construction, with UAE/GCC exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in TBM/tunneling/underground projects.
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE requirements across TBM and tunneling activities.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, inductions and safety observations.
• Monitor high-risk activities including TBM operations, shaftworks, confined spaces, lifting, excavation, segment installation and underground logistics.
• Review and ensure compliance with RAMS, JSA/JHA, PTW, LOTO and confined-space procedures.
• Monitor tunnel ventilation, gas detection, fire prevention, emergency access/egress and rescue arrangements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Coordinate closely with construction, TBM, lifting and engineering teams.
• Maintain HSE reports, inspection records and statutory documentation.
