Job summary
Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – TBM in Dubai to supervise tunnel construction activities and TBM operations on metro rail projects. The role requires coordinating with geotechnical, instrumentation, and monitoring teams to ensure safety and quality throughout excavation and segment installation.
The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in tunnel construction, strong technical knowledge of TBM parameters, and proficient English communication for reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years supervising tunnel construction.
- Experience with TBM operations on metro rail tunnels.
- Strong English communication and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer with TBM tunnel supervision and related civil works.
- Monitor daily TBM excavation, ensure compliance with drawings and safety procedures.
- Review machine operating parameters to manage risks during advances.
- Assess chamber pressure, thrust, torque, and penetration rate for stability.
- Use TBM software and data to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, instrumentation, and monitoring teams on critical zones.
- Prepare technical comments and draft responses for the Resident Engineer.
