Job summary

El Sewedy Power UAE Business Group seeks an experienced HSE Engineer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies across project sites in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, risk assessments, and PTW systems.

You will conduct site inspections, lead toolbox talks, and coordinate with construction teams to ensure safe practices and regulatory compliance. NEBOSH IGC and 5–8 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
NEBOSH IGC certification is required or preferred depending on project/client.
Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and client standards.
Experience with risk assessment, incident investigation, PTW systems, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor HSE policies across project sites.
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and client requirements.
Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
Prepare risk assessments, JSAs, and method statements.
Monitor PTW systems and safe working practices.
Lead HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and trainings.
Investigate accidents and incidents; identify root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain HSE reports, inspection records, and safety statistics.
Coordinate with project teams to resolve HSE issues.
Develop emergency plans and participate in drills.
