Job summary
Penspen Ltd is seeking a Sr. Engineer - HSE (Project) to implement, monitor and enforce HSE standards across offshore and onshore project sites in Abu Dhabi.
The role emphasizes full regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and supervision of safety programs on complex oil & gas projects. Candidate should have 15+ years of HSE experience in offshore environments, strong leadership, and familiarity with offshore permit systems and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 15+ years of HSE experience in oil & gas projects.
- Proven offshore project experience (platforms, FPSO, offshore construction, or drilling support).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project HSE plans, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
- Lead HSE activities for offshore and onshore project sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP, JSA, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor safe work practices and permit-to-work systems.
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and safety training.
- Liaise with project management, contractors, and clients on HSE matters.
