Job summary

Parsons is hiring a HSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will lead SH&E programs, develop site-specific safety plans, audit sites, and investigate incidents.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations, NEBOSH or equivalent qualifications, and extensive construction safety management experience in the Middle East. You will collaborate with project teams, oversee orientation for new hires, and represent SH&E on worksites, ensuring compliance with client and corporate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health and environmental or relevant engineering.
• OSH certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6/7.
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations and ADOSH‑SF framework.
• Minimum 12+ years of construction safety management in the Middle East; 2+ years as OSH Engineer/Manager on supervision or PM roles.

Responsibilities

• Advises and assists the most senior construction site representative in establishing and managing ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes.
• Develops site-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans.
• Collaborates with SH&E and project managers to evaluate contractors’ SH&E performance and risk management.
• Audits projects and worksites against standards; prepares audit reports.
• Implements Parsons’ injury and incident reporting/management processes.
• Conducts incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Prepares OSH statistics and audit reports.
• Represents the program SH&E manager on project worksites and during safety inspections.
• Oversees safety orientation for new hires.
