Job summary

A leading retail company in Dubai is seeking a Payroll Manager with strong experience in payroll management and compliance with GCC labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and 4-6 years of hands-on experience. Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities

Time & Attendance (T&A) and Payroll Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency between Time & Attendance systems and payroll data in Oracle EBS/HCM.
  • Reconcile T&A edits with employee timesheets and attendance records.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in T&A data to identify opportunities for payroll optimization.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between T&A records and payroll calculations.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and approval of payroll files.

Payroll Operations

  • Maintain and update employee payroll information in Oracle EBS / HCM.
  • Process monthly payroll, including salary computation, statutory deductions, and allowances.
  • Handle end-to-end processing of Full & Final Settlements, Leave Salary, Leave Travel Allowance, and other payouts in line with Landmark policies and local labor laws.
  • Prepare and issue payslips.
  • Manage and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc payroll reports for internal use and audit purposes.

Compliance & System Support

  • Ensure compliance with GCC labor laws, gratuity, pension, and leave accrual regulations.
  • Support the implementation and upgrades of payroll systems, including Oracle Payroll Cloud.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee leave and absences for audit and reporting purposes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on payroll experience in a large, structured organization.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle HCM, Oracle ESS Payroll, and Oracle Cloud Payroll systems.
  • Excellent understanding of GCC labor laws, payroll compliance, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Effective time management and coordination skills to handle multiple priorities.
