Job summary

Core42 seeks a Senior HPC Engineer to design, deploy and operate large-scale HPC infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking. You will optimize InfiniBand and GPU resources, implement workload management with LSF/Slurm, and ensure high availability across Linux and Windows environments.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, customers and vendors to troubleshoot issues and automate deployments using Python and shell scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on HPC operations and infra engineering experience.
• Strong Linux administration and data center knowledge.
• Experience deploying HPC clusters with compute/storage/networking.
• Proficient in InfiniBand and high-speed interconnects.
• Experience with LSF, Slurm, or PBS workload managers.
• Familiarity with GPFS/Spectrum Scale and enterprise storage.
• Proficient scripting in Python and Shell.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/KVM/Citrix).
• Strong problem solving, documentation, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain HPC infrastructure and clusters.
• Configure and optimize InfiniBand and Ethernet networks.
• Manage job scheduling and workload platforms (LSF preferred).
• Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Support HPC storage (GPFS, GridScaler, NetApp, TSM).
• Develop automation tools with Python and shell scripts.
• Monitor health with Zabbix, Grafana; perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
