Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking a Senior Operations Geologist to provide geological support for Biogenic-Shallow Gas Project wells and oversee active drilling programs. The role requires coordinating with geologists, petrophysicists and drilling engineers to optimize well placement and reservoir development.

The candidate should have extensive experience in exploration/development geology, strong reporting skills, and familiarity with geological software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
8+ years in exploration/development geology and drilling.
Experience with geological and office software applications.
Strong presentation and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Provide geological operations support for Biogenic-Shallow Gas Project wells and oversee drilling programs.
Supervise pre-drill preparations, data integration, and interpretation to meet well objectives.
Coordinate coring, formation evaluation, logs, and marker prognosis with project teams.
Evaluate pore pressure, fracture gradient and wellbore stability with geomechanics input.
Monitor real-time drilling data and update geological models.
Maintain communication with project geologists and geoscience staff during drilling operations.
