Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a surgical residency program.
- Board certification in general surgery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient consultations and assess health status.
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures as per cases and follow protocols.
- Discuss surgical options, risks and benefits with patients and obtain informed consent.
- Coordinate with anesthesia, nursing staff and surgical team for safe operations.
- Maintain accurate patient records including preoperative assessments and postoperative progress.
- Respond to emergencies requiring surgical intervention and provide timely care.
- Engage in continuing education and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
