Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution systems in residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings. The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience, a strong understanding of gas systems, and a relevant engineering degree. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, overseeing installations, and leading retrofit projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of low- and medium-pressure gas systems.
• Experience in retrofit and rehabilitation projects.

Responsibilities

• Design internal gas distribution systems including piping, risers, and manifolds.
• Select and size gas pipes, regulators, meters, and safety devices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of gas systems.
• Perform inspection and troubleshooting of existing gas networks.
• Lead retrofit and rehabilitation projects for old buildings.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
