Job description

• Own the full software lifecycle for EFRC’s portal (currently ASP DOT Net Core + SQL Server)—from requirements through release and post deployment support.
• Plan and execute a phased rollout of features as well as upgrade the code base to the latest standards, restructuring and refactoring code into clean layers, repositories, and services.
• Analyze operational requirements and translate them into automated, workflow-driven features that streamline processes and cut manual effort.
• Design and build efficient C# CRUD APIs, data models and stored procedures; implement indexing and performance-tuning on SQL Server.
• Establish DevOps basics (Git, pull-requests, automated builds, unit/integration tests, release pipelines).
• Build the portal with secure-coding best practices—role-based access, protection against common web threats, and basic audit trails— leveraging the security features already built into ASP DOT NetCore and Azure.
• Document architecture, coding standards and release notes.
• Collaborate directly with the Head of Corporate Strategy & Tech for priorities, code reviews and quarterly roadmap checkpoints.
• Prototype and implement AI helper tech into the portal such as chatbots, document-summaries, data extraction, anomaly alerts— leveraging, (big plus).
• Ability to integrate with a wide range of APIs.
• Proven skill in designing, consuming, and securing REST/SOAP APIs, enabling seamless integration with both internal systems and diverse third-party platforms.

Desired Candidate Profile

• +5 years professional development experience, including at least 3 years with ASP DOT Net Core & Entity Framework.

• Deep SQL Server knowledge: schema design, indexing, T-SQL, backups and DR.

• Clear track record shipping secure, maintainable C# CRUD business applications.

•Strong Git workflow habits and experience setting up CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).

• Sharp critical-thinking and structured problem-solving skills—able to translate and dissect complex workflows and design proper automations.

• Excellent English communication, documentation and cross-functional liaison skills.

• Self-motivated “one-man-team” mindset—able to prioritize, ask the right questions and deliver incrementally with minimal hand-holding.

Nice-to-have credentials

• Hands-on Azure (App Service, SQL DB, Key Vault, Blob Storage) or other cloud tooling.
• Practical AI / ML exposure (prompt-engineering, RAG search, ML Dot NET pipelines, OpenAI API).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer or AI Engineer.
• Experience upgrading legacy Dot NET Framework apps or handling onprem → cloud migrations.
• Awareness of ISO 9001/14001/45001 digital documentation requirements.
• Arabic language proficiency.
