Job description

This position manages the Financial Planning and Analysis function across the organisation's facilities. This includes review of all month-end reports, provision of narratives and reports to explain the company's performance, preparation of regular forecasts for Senior Management and owners. You will be managing the budget preparation for the organisation, providing analysis and reports on all aspects of performance for existing and new proposed projects.

Job Requirements:

  1. Provide Senior Management (CEO, VPs and GMs) appropriate financial inputs to ensure targets and objectives are met.
  2. Prepare presentations for Board Meetings and owners.
  3. Assist in drafting and updating Finance Policies and Procedures.
  4. Work across the business to develop and improve systems, processes, and reports.
  5. Lead the implementation of budgeting software across the group, suggest improvements and ways to streamline the overall approach and support the business in using the application.
  6. Manage the preparation of annual budgets (revenues, costs, and capex) in line with the deadlines provided by the owners, including preparation of various presentations to Senior Management and drafting of Board Memos for approval.
  7. Ensure any budget reallocations are made in line with the Company’s approved Delegation of Authority and proper tracker of all reallocations made during the year is maintained.
  8. Review monthly Financial forecasts for each entity, analyze and provide justifications for variances vs budget and previous forecast.
  9. Review all monthly P&L reports and monthly financial performance reports for each park and present to Senior Management in the 3rd week of each month explaining performance vs budget and prior year.
  10. Review all balance sheet schedules of the Parks with Finance Business Partners to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  11. Review Annual Financial Statements to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting across the group.
  12. Work with (and provide support to) the shared service team to improve the month-end close process.
  13. Be the central point of contact for all insurance requirements across the group between Insurance Brokers and MX and ensure valid insurance policies are maintained at all times with adequate sums insured.
  14. Present to Senior Management on a monthly basis, a full update on each capex project (either budgeted during the year or carried forward from prior years) across the whole group by summarising amount consumed during the month, commitments made and highlighting any bottlenecks to expedite procurement.
  15. Review feasibility studies of new capex projects of above 1m AED.
  16. Ensure that all disposal of assets is in line with the Group Policy and appropriate approvals are in place as per the DOA.
  17. Ensure that Fixed Assets Tagging exercise is completed across the Group in line with the guidance from EAA and FA register kept up to date and reconciled with physical assets.

Key Essentials:

  1. Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, CMA, ACCA).
  2. Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
  3. Minimum of 10 years senior managerial experience in a large/multi-site operation.
  4. Be able to work in a multinational environment.
  5. Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office applications.
  6. Ability to solve problems.
  7. Ability to present and explain data clearly to non-finance users.
  8. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  9. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
