EPAM Systems in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer for a hybrid role embedded with the client team; a hands-on, full-stack generalist bridging business and engineering. You will rapidly prototype solutions, debug production issues on-site, and translate evolving client requirements into practical, high-quality implementations.

Collaborate with stakeholders, build backend in Java Spring Boot or Python FastAPI, frontend in React/Next.js, manage PostgreSQL, and deploy to Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IS/Statistics or related field.
• Proven client-facing software delivery experience.
• Strong Java Spring Boot and/or Python FastAPI skills.
• Hands-on React.js/Next.js frontend development.
• Database design with PostgreSQL.
• Azure cloud services and CI/CD experience.
• Fluent English and Arabic communication.

We're looking for a Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi in a hybrid working mode. This is a client-facing role embedded directly with the client team, requiring a versatile full-stack generalist who can bridge business and engineering. You will rapidly prototype solutions, debug production issues on-site and transform evolving client requirements into practical, high-quality technical implementations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on engineer comfortable operating across the full technical stack and working independently in an intensive, delivery‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into working solutions
• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) or Python (FastAPI) for backend services
• Build React.js/Next.js‑based front‑end interfaces, ensuring responsive and seamless user experiences
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization
• Deploy and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure, leveraging cloud‑native capabilities for scalability and security
• Rapidly prototype features to validate concepts and accelerate decision‑making
• Debug and resolve production issues under tight timelines while ensuring system stability
• Deliver in agile/hybrid methodologies while maintaining clear documentation and knowledge transfer

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering client‑facing software engineering projects, preferably in embedded roles
• Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot and/or Python with FastAPI frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with React.js/Next.js front‑end development
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design principles
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native environments
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills in a consultative, fast‑paced setting
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field
