Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a seasoned Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with customers and design scalable enterprise AI/ML solutions on our platform. You will build full-stack AI apps, partner with strategic customers, and shape enterprise AI architectures to accelerate deployment and adoption.

You will work across security, governance, and compliance while mentoring teams and codifying best practices into repeatable patterns.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade systems.
• 2-4 years building ML systems or GenAI/agentic apps.
• Strong hands-on software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills.
• Experience with foundation models, context engineering, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Deep understanding of LLMOps/MLOps practices including evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing scalable AI solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards (security, governance, compliance).
• Ability to engage directly with customers, both technical and executive audiences.
• High agency with autonomous, fast-moving environments.
• Mentorship and reusable tooling mindset.
• Bsc/Msc/PhD in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build & prototype AI apps and full-stack ML solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Partner with strategic customers to advance prototypes toward production.
• Advise on AI roadmaps, solution design, deployment, and use cases.
• Codify patterns into repeatable architectures, starter kits, and playbooks.
• Mentor teams and contribute to reusable tooling and resources.
