Job summary

KAST is seeking a seasoned Architecture Lead to own the technical strategy for a high-throughput fintech platform. You will be the primary authority on system design, ensuring resilience, performance, and security under massive load on AWS.

You’ll partner with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to set standards for build, deploy, and evolution of our transactional infrastructure. Hybrid work; Singapore or APAC/Europe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with large-scale fintech systems.
• Proven ability to architect high-throughput, fault-tolerant platforms.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and technical decisions.
• Strong understanding of PCI-DSS/SOC2 in financial environments.
• Ability to define CI/CD and IaC patterns for autonomous teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term architecture for a high-volume platform.
• Lead design reviews of distributed microservices for reliability.
• Architect critical flows like payments and ledger with sub-millisecond latency.
• Set engineering standards, deployment patterns, and governance.
• Own AWS strategy to optimize cost, latency and velocity.
• Embed security-by-design across the transaction-heavy stack.
• Mentor senior engineers and guide major technical choices.
