Job summary

Stryber is working on behalf of a fintech client in Dubai to hire an experienced Financial Controller who will lead the finance function, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain regulatory compliance in a fast-changing environment.

The role requires 10–12 years in finance with 5+ years in leadership, strong IFRS and UAE VAT knowledge, ERP experience (MS Dynamics, SAP, QuickBooks), and the ability to deliver actionable insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred.
• 10–12 years in finance and accounting with at least 5 years in leadership, fintech/startup experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE regulations, IFRS, VAT, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced skills in MS Dynamics, SAP, QuickBooks, Excel; Power BI is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to meet operational needs.
• Ensure IFRS and UAE regulatory compliance and timely reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights, with variance analysis and budgeting.
• Develop, track, and report key financial KPIs for transparency and performance.
• Oversee tax compliance and UAE VAT filings with authorities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and address audit findings.
• Enhance internal controls and manage financial risks (FX, credit, operations).
• Oversee financial systems (MS Dynamics, SAP, QuickBooks) and process improvements.
• Lead finance team, mentor staff, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
