Job summary

Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Financial Controller on behalf of their client, a multinational company based in DIFC, Dubai. The role covers financial reporting, budgeting, compliance and internal controls, with leadership of a finance team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in finance, UAE experience in a control role, IFRS and UAE VAT knowledge, and a track record in audits, treasury, and strategic advisory to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• At least 5 years UAE experience in a Finance Controller/Finance Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Experience handling audits and statutory reporting.
• Ability to lead and mentor the finance team.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Zoho, Odoo).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain Balance Sheets, P&L, and Cash Flow statements.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and perform variance analysis.
• Ensure UAE VAT, IFRS compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely completion.
• Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and risk management.
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial KPIs.
• Support business planning, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and authorities.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
