Seddiqi Holding is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning and budgeting for its non-retail business. Key responsibilities include budgetary control, financial modeling, and business intelligence reporting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the UAE's real estate/service/retail sectors, and must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, alongside excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Preferably experience in Real Estate/Service/Retail Industry/Holding Company environment in UAE/Middle East.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

  • Support in driving compliance to the internal budget control process within the non-retail business.
  • Assist with the periodic Group & Non-retail business units budgetary planning cycle.
  • Support in preparation of financial models to support different budget and forecasting scenarios.
  • Provide ongoing support on the defined management reports for the Group & non-retail business.

Job description

Seddiqi Holding is a Family-owned and managed company with a unique, diversified portfolio of businesses and brands across numerous sectors. The business includes Ahmed Seddiqi, Seddiqi Properties, Swiss Watch Services and Mizzen.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible to assist and support the financial planning and budgeting process at Seddiqi Holding for the non-retail business and the Group. The role will also be responsible to support in the preparation of accurate monthly financial dashboards, assist in cost-benefit analysis of new business proposals, and in preparing monthly financial review presentations

Key Responsibilities:

Budgetary control

  • Support in driving compliance to the internal budget control process within the non-retail business; and support other cost-saving measures
  • Assist with the periodic Group & Non-retail business units budgetary planning cycle as per management requirements, and in maintaining budgeting templates to support the smooth execution of the budget planning process
  • Support in periodic and adhoc budget revision as per management requirements
  • Support in monitoring the budget and spend of the non-retail vertical, and preparing dashboards for the monthly reviews

Financial Planning

  • Assist in preparation of financial models to support different budget and forecasting scenarios
  • Support with financial feasibility analysis for the new business expansion opportunities including joint ventures, and provide recommendations to the Manager
  • Support in monitoring the operational and financial risks on an ongoing basis

Business Intelligence

  • Provide ongoing support on the defined management reports for the Group & non-retail business and assist with any additional ad-hoc analysis requests on performance received by management/ or other departments
  • Communicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
  • Prepare MIS reports as per the reporting calendar timeline for the non-retail business and the Group.

Operations and Performance

  • Provide recommendation on opportunities for automation and efficiencies within the scope of work
  • Support with SAP master data management, Cost Center/ Profit Center creation as required
  • Support the Due Diligence committee (DDC) expense approval process

About You:

  • 3 to 5 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience.
  • Preferably experience in Real Estate/Service/Retail Industry/Holding Company environment in UAE/Middle East
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory
  • Knowledge of SAP and Power BIis a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
