The
Senior Finance Specialist (GFR) will ensure the company's financial reports are accurate, clear, and compliant with regulations. This role involves organizing financial data, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, analyzing risks, and providing insights. It plays a critical role in ensuring the Group's financial results are filed correctly with proper assurance and regulatory controls.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to review activities and recommend process and system improvements, ensuring implementation aligns with management decisions.
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions, ensuring compliance with Group Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Coordinate with external, internal, and government auditors to address queries and observations, providing necessary analytical information for smooth audits.
- Manage accurate monthly book closing, including pre-closing checks, exception handling, and quality assurance.
- Oversee financial accounting functions related to receivables and payables in high-value areas.
- Review Group company submissions for accuracy and timeliness, analyze balance movements, and respond to audit queries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group policies.
- Support the consolidation process and audit of Group financials.
- Define and enforce Chart of Accounts disciplines across departments for uniformity in line with International Accounting Standards.
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts, ensure data accuracy, identify revenue leakage, and drive automation.
- Apply IFRS to business transactions and Group company transactions.
- Review Group company balance sheets for compliance with recognition and measurement policies.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounts, and Taxation.
- Degree with Honours (12+3 equivalent) and accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, etc.).
Preferred Skills- Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Taxation.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with senior management.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills at an advanced level.
