A leading company in the UAE is looking for a Senior Finance Specialist to oversee financial strategies, M&A activities, and compliance. The Senior Finance Specialist will oversee financial planning, investment strategies, M&A activities, and joint venture partnerships, ensuring the startup's financial sustainability and expansion into new opportunities. The ideal candidate is analytical, strategic, and experienced in high-value financial transactions within dynamic industries.
Your new role
Financial Planning & Analysis:
• Develop financial models to evaluate profitability, ROI, and cash flow projections.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and growth opportunities.
Accounting, Compliance & Reporting:
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Ensure VAT, tax compliance, and regulatory adherence.
• Work with auditors on financial audits and reporting requirements.
Financial Systems & Process Optimisation:
• Implement financial software solutions for automation and efficiency.
• Develop internal financial policies to enhance governance and risk management.
• Optimise cost structures, ensuring long -term financial stability.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
• Lead due diligence processes for potential acquisitions and mergers.
• Negotiate acquisition terms and financial structures to ensure seamless transactions.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams for M&A execution.
Investment & Fundraising:
• Develop investment strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Manage relationships with investors, venture capital firms, and financial institutions.
• Prepare financial reports and pitch decks for funding rounds.
• Oversee investment portfolios and assess market opportunities.
Joint Ventures & Partnerships:
• Identify strategic partnership and joint venture opportunities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial modelling for partnerships.
• Negotiate agreements, ensuring financial alignment with business objectives.
• Monitor joint venture performance and financial compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in finance, M&A, investments, and joint venture management.
• Industry experience in digital media, tech startups, or financial consulting is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or CMA are highly desirable.
