Position Overview:
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial performance, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role involves managing the finance team, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. He plays a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, as well as in identifying and mitigating financial risks. By driving financial efficiency and supporting business growth, the Senior Finance Manager contributes to the overall success and sustainability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash position and ensure optimal utilization of funds.
- Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to support liquidity planning.
- Monitor and manage banking relationships, including credit facilities and cash management solutions.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide variance analysis and insightful reporting on key financial metrics to senior management.
- Support strategic initiatives, including investment analysis, pricing strategies, and cost optimization projects.
- Identify and assess financial risks, such as interest rate risks, credit risks, and market risks.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a robust internal control environment and participate in audits as needed.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cash flow statements, budget vs. actuals, and other management reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Partner with operational teams to understand business drivers, optimize processes, and improve financial outcomes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Actively participate in and contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives, leveraging financial expertise and analytical skills to drive successful outcomes and add value to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or Treasury certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, accounting, or related roles.
- Experience in an operating company (preferably from a small to mid-size company). Experience in real estate development environment is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems implementation and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
