Senior Finance Manager

This role supports the Senior Finance Director in overseeing the finance functions for Masarra and Otolo Homes. Key responsibilities include completing the month-end accounting process and reporting, producing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, and preparing management information for decision-making. Additionally, the role will provide other ad-hoc financial information as required to support business operations and strategy.

Job Scope:

• Manage and continuously enhance the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring the production of all month-end financial reports.
• Prepare and review balance sheet schedules each month and make necessary corrections in the books of accounts if required.
• Produce monthly KPIs to assess business performance.
• Conduct departmental P&L (Profit and Loss) analysis to assess financial health and performance.
• Perform client profitability analysis to ensure effective client management and financial sustainability.
• Support the building and maintenance of PowerBI dashboards for visualizing and tracking key business metrics.
• Liaise with auditors for interim reviews, year-end audits, and ad-hoc financial requirements.
• Assist in producing ad-hoc financial analysis, including NPV (Net Present Value) and financial returns for new projects and assets.
• Review and analyze key KPIs and develop new analyses to reflect business performance best and forecast future trends.
• Initially responsible for managing two direct reports, ensuring efficient task delegation and performance management.
• As the business scales in volume, oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring smooth operations and accuracy.
• Supports producing and reviewing the annual budget process, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategy.
• Contribute to the production of quarterly business forecasts for internal review and decision-making.
• Support implementing and testing the Finance ERP system, ensuring its successful adoption and integration into business operations.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting or equivalent.
• Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience post-qualification in the finance field.
• Experience in managing teams in a Government or MNE (Multinational Enterprise) environment is an advantage.

Core Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Proficient in NPV analysis and other financial return indicators.
• Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Oracle ERP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence tools.
