Position Overview:

We are looking for aSenior Finance Executive Ecommerceto join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end financial processes within our E-commerce operations, ensuring smooth financial transactions, compliance with tax regulations, and driving improvements in financial workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial operations scale effectively with business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine procedures for handling end-to-end financial processes, including invoicing, credit notes issuance, refunds, chargebacks, and dispute management.
• Manage and enforce compliance with European Union VAT regulations in addition to GCC region tax requirements and other relevant local regulations.
• Work closely with tax advisors and legal teams to update procedures considering emerging legislation and global taxation changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, IT, marketing, customer service) to develop streamlined workflows, ensuring that financial practices meet business growth and scalability targets.
• Coordinate and manage documentations to create, set up, and maintain multiple payment gateways in different countries.
• Assess and enhance processes to manage exchange rate risks and currency conversion issues.
• Drive improvements in financial systems to handle complex transactions involving varied currencies.
• Liaise with customer service and technical teams to address and resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed management, financial, and compliance reports, highlighting trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvements.
• Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
• Work alongside internal teams (e.g., D365 Finance & Operations, PowerBI) and external vendors/integrators to ensure synchronized financial data flow.
• Act as a liaison for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies related to digital commerce.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management specifically within the e-commerce industry.
• Hands-on experience managing multiple payment gateways, multiple entities in various tax regions, multi-currency transactions, invoicing systems, and automated recurring billing processes.
• Demonstrated experience managing VAT compliance (especially EU VAT) and working with regulations in GCC regions.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365), financial software, and accounting tools.
• Experience with automation processes in financial operations and knowledge of integrating technical solutions with finance systems.
• Experience in assessing financial risks associated with currency fluctuations, fraud, and compliance breaches.
• Experience with API-driven integrations between financial systems and third-party services (e.g., payment processing platforms, ERP systems).
• Experience in driving process improvements that optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
