Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation in the facade industry.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Ability to scrutinize technical drawings and specifications for accurate material and cost estimation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present estimates and address client concerns.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate calculations.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors for the best prices and terms.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Calculate quantities of glass and materials considering waste and overage.
• Develop accurate cost estimates by factoring in labor, equipment, materials, and other costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to get quotes ensuring best price and quality.
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals with scope, costs, schedules, and terms.
• Provide technical insights during client meetings addressing concerns about the proposed solution.
• Collaborate with project managers to hand off approved estimate details and ensure budget adherence.
• Stay updated with industry trends, pricing, and materials to keep estimates competitive.
• Utilize industry-specific software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in estimation.
• Maintain accurate records of estimation documentation for future reference or audit.
• After project completion review actual costs versus estimated to refine processes.
