Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to manage the executive office rhythm, calendar, and communications, shielding senior leaders for strategic priorities. This role requires judgment, discretion, and proactive prioritization to keep commitments moving forward without micro-managing tasks.

The role works with senior leadership, internal departments, and external stakeholders, ensuring conflicts are resolved and materials are aligned ahead of meetings.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in business administration or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years experience supporting C-level executives.
  • Experience handling highly confidential material in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating with board members or senior government/military stakeholders.
  • Bilingual, Arabic and English is a MUST.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the executives calendar, including appointments, meetings, and travel, resolving conflicts before they escalated.
  • Organise internal and external meetings on the executives behalf, ensuring all logistical and preparatory requirements are in place.
  • Monitor and triage incoming communications to the executive office by urgency and sensitivity.
  • Coordinate senior leadership meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders and materials are aligned in advance.
  • Brief the executive on upcoming commitments, flagging risks or conflicts proactively rather than reactively.
  • Exercise independent judgement to move projects forward to completion ahead of deadlines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Executive Assistant manages the operating rhythm of the executive office, calendar, meeting flow, and information intake, protecting senior leaderships time for strategic priorities rather than administrative resolution. The role works closely with senior leadership, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure commitments are tracked, conflicts are resolved before they surface, and sensitive matters are handled with discretion.

This is a role of judgement as much as coordination: the Executive Assistant is trusted to prioritise on the executives behalf, filter what reaches their desk, and keep every commitment moving toward completion without oversight on each individual task.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and coordinate the executives calendar, including appointments, meetings, and travel, resolving conflicts before they escalated
  • Organise internal and external meetings on the executives behalf, ensuring all logistical and preparatory requirements are in place
  • Monitor and triage incoming communications to the executive office by urgency and sensitivity
  • Coordinate senior leadership meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders and materials are aligned in advance
  • Brief the executive on upcoming commitments, flagging risks or conflicts proactively rather than reactively
  • Exercise independent judgement to move projects forward to completion ahead of deadlines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Tertiary qualification in business administration or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years experience supporting C-level executives
  • Demonstrated experience managing highly confidential material in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience supporting senior executives in a defence, industrial, or regulated organisation
  • Experience coordinating with board members or senior government/military stakeholders
  • Familiarity with protocols for handling classified or commercially sensitive information
  • Bilingual, Arabic and English is a MUST
  • Experience managing complex international travel logistics
