Job summary

MMJS Consulting in Dubai, UAE, seeks an experienced indirect tax professional to manage a complete portfolio of GCC VAT and related duties. You will advise clients, perform health checks, audits, and structuring, while supporting business development efforts.

The role requires 2–3 years in indirect tax, a professional tax certification (CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent), and a postgraduate finance/taxation degree is a plus. Immediate joining preferred, Dubai-based office location.

Qualifications

• Must have CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent certification.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in indirect tax.
• Postgraduate degree in finance or taxation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, and litigation.
• Assist in client management and business development activities.
• Attend trainings/webinars on GCC VAT laws to gain in-depth knowledge.
• Build strong internal and client relationships and deliver on deadlines.

Job description

Main Responsibilities:

• Handling a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including but not limited to compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, litigation, etc.
• Proactively assisting in the management of several clients, belonging to diversified industries/sectors, while reporting to managers and above
• Assisting managers in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Attending trainings / webinars on GCC VAT laws and gaining in-depth knowledge on the subject
• Building strong internal relationships within the firm across service lines
• Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
• Keeping up to date with national business and economic issues
• Effective time management and assisting managers in developing project plan and achieving deadlines
• Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Skills Required:

• Professional Tax Certification including CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the industry or as a consultant in indirect tax
• An additional postgraduate degree/ certification in finance/ taxation will be an advantage
• Knowledge of the financial sector is considered a substantial advantage
